Our drive to the good ol' South was absolutely gorgeous. And since we actually drove through the mountains of Virginia during the day this time, we were able to stop at a scenic view off I-64. Check out this view of God's handiwork...He never ceases to amaze me...
The first 3 days of our vacation were spent at the Hubby's parents' house. It was the first time I'd ever been able to really capture with my camera many of the beautiful vintage items that my Mom-in-law has all over her home.
My Mom-in-law always makes such yummy treats for us when we visit. This time around she made this delightful dessert from the July issue of Martha Stewart Living. Mmmm...mmm...yummy! It was the perfect summer evening treat.
