An Elephant Never Forgets

Little Man is getting bigger and bigger with each day. I can't believe he's going to be a year old in just one month. Ba! How the time flies. Since he's growing so quickly, I find myself rushing to have him wear clothes or shoes that are super cute that he might not fit in soon.


Last winter, my mom bought these wonderful shoes for him from Magpie Lovely and he can now finally wear them. And surprisingly, he wears them without thinking twice about it.

Off To Market We Go

Last Saturday, the Hubby and I went to the Greenwood Farmer's Market and had a good ol' time. When we lived in Chicago, we would go to the Farmer's Market every Saturday morning and would come home with fresh produce and flowers.
Last summer we were able to enjoy the Wednesday Farmer's Market in downtown Indy when I was still working downtown, but now that I don't work in walking distance to it, we've felt a little market-deprived. So...all that to say...we were able to go last weekend and were very excited.
We came home with fresh eggs, home-made salsa, zucchini for making zuccini bread, Honey Crisp Apples, a dozen of the best corn we've had since moving to Indiana.

I Love Old Stuff

One of the things that we were looking most forward to on our vacation was the opportunity to do some major antiquing. And after finding the book Recycled Home our eyes were opened in a completely new way as trekked through the various antique stores in Virginia and North Carolina. Here are just a few items that were scattered about...
The outside of this one antique mall was loaded with goodies...too bad we didn't have any room to take any of these old windows with us.

Virginia is known for peanuts, so of course on our drive down to North Carolina, we had to make a stop at this store to get shelled peanuts. They made great snacks for sitting on the beach.

Overall, we found some really great treasures that we can't wait to put around home once we've finished redecorating our bedroom. A lot of the goodies we found are going to be perfect in there.

Colors

While at the beach, we took a trip to a lovely antique store that specialized in selling old stained glass windows from Victorian homes that had been torn down.


She also has many other vintage and antique items that just made me smile.


When we ventured to this delightful shop, the sun was beautifully golden, shining through the delicate glass items that were for sale. It made everything look magical.
