Amy over at Park City Girl is sponsoring an online Quilt festival so I thought I'd join in on the fun.
This was my very first quilt. I used Amy Butler's Brickpath pattern. The individual blocks were pieced by hand and once each row was pieced, I used the machine to put it all together. The most time consuming part was hand-quilting it, but since it was my first quilt, it gave me a lot of stitching practice, especially since I hadn't done any sewing since I was a little girl. I absolutely love how colorful it is and love cuddling with it - so does my Hubby!

I want to make that quilt too! This is so adorable. I recognize some of that fabric from last month's block!
I was wondering where you go fabric shopping when you are in Richmond . . .
Wow - I can't believe you hand-quilted that (pieced them by hand too!)! It is beautiful...and looks like a lot of work :-)
You're always up to something crafty and cute! ;)
Beautiful hand quilting. Looks like a lot of work. Good job.
Oh...I LOVE this quilt! you did an amazing job :)
Great job for a first quilt! My son still has mine I think!
this a great quilt...made even better by you hand quilting it...you have done a great job...
Beautiful!! I love all the fabrics in there :) Thanks for sharing.
What a way to start quilting.... my real question is when did you find the time to hand do all that? It is very beautiful and you did a great job. When do you plan to start the next one? lol
Are you by chance a southern belle? That quilt looks like it would fit in beautifully with a modernized Tara. Great quilt
