4 Years...

June 24, 2010...
Today, my love, we celebrate 4 years of marriage. I've been so blessed by these last 4 years and I can't wait to spend the rest of our years together. I'm so excited to enter into this 4th year of marriage in our first house and expecting our first child. Words really can't express how much I love you. You are my prince and I am your princess.

So a lot of fun things have been happening lately. We're moving into our first house. That's right. We're all "growed up" now. It's been a long process of moving boxes over and we're still not done, but by this weekend, we should have everything over there and we will officially be living in the house. We have lots of projects to tackle in the house, like painting, ripping out/replacing base boards, replacing bathroom vanities and planting flowers, but it's all fun stuff that we're excited to do. AND my parents and brother are coming up at the end of the month to help us out. Don't worry, I'll be sharing photos soon. We've been so busy moving stuff over that thinking about grabbing my camera doesn't really hit me until we're already over at the house unpacking.

Let's see, what else? Well, we're having a little boy! You can see his sweet face here. (And yes, he has my nose and his Daddy's head). We're so excited that we're half-way through the pregnancy. The 2nd trimester has definitely been a lot more easy than the first. (Life is just always better without the constant feeling of nausea and heartburn). And my sweet little baby bump is getting bigger, which is exciting, especially since I can feel the little guy moving around a lot.

So yeah...lots going on. Many, many blessings from God and a lot of excitement.

As you can tell, little Emerson loves her new little dollie. Her mom told me the other day that she sleeps with her, "changes her diaper," and literally takes it with her everywhere.

I really do savor moments like these.
Laying in bed early in the morning.
Listening to the rhythm of my Hubby breath as he sleeps.
Watching the rain fall on a gray Saturday morning.
Feeling our little man moving around in the womb.
Although the exhausted 9 to 5 working woman in me would rather have slept in til 10am, I'm still very thankful to have these moments of quiet.

Because Every Two Year Old Little Girl Should Get a Doll on Her Birthday

Anywho...

A good friend of ours is throwing a fun little Birthday bash on Friday for her two year old daughter Emerson and I just couldn't resist making one of Emily's Black Apple Dolls for her. Isn't she just darling? She's quite hugable and loveable. I know this because I tested her out on my Hubby (he gave her quite the sweet little squeeze) and of course I gave her lots of squeezes before wrapping her up for the Birthday girl).


I'll attempt to photograph Miss Emerson opening her gift at the party on Friday, but I make no guarantees. This baby brain of mine may just make me completely forget to bring my camera to the shin-dig...
