I'm working on a fabulous wreath made out of various nuts that my mom and I found while searching through the woods of Virginia. I was inspired by the wreath in the November issue of Martha Stewart Living.
Isn't this amazing? So festive and it's good for the Fall and Christmas season. So here is my lovely collection of nuts for my wreath. Sadly, I didn't have enough to make the entire wreath out of what I collected, so I had to buy some from the grocery, but at least half of them are straight from the woods. How's this for squirrel level? You can tell a squirrel has been nibbling on this one.My version is about 50% done and as soon as it's complete, you better believe I'll be sharing it! (Thanks for the idea Martha!)

This wreath is going to be so cool! We had an oak tree in my backyard growing up (several actually). There were always acorns EVERYwhere. Wish I were crafty back then! But I think at the time we were putting teddy bears in wreaths and thinking they were adorable....ah, the lovely, lovely, eighties.
Amy cracks me up with her 80s wreath....so true! I love what you're working on and think it will be a splendid addition to the holidays!
these are amazing! that one from squirrels level and the one of your holding them in your hand are my favorites. the bigger pictures just makes your photos PERFECT!
cant wait to see the finished wreath :)
What a great idea for a wreath. Can't wait to see it!
I can't wait to see your version! I actually just finished mine this past weekend and have been meaning to post it. Your variety of nuts looks really cool.
And....feel free to say no....
do you mind if I post one of your fall pics on my blog? (I will credit you of course). I need something that says "fall" and you seem to do that best. Let me know what you think.
thanks!
