And the Winner Is...

Congrats Sarah from Looking In.
This beautiful blogging friend of mine just recently gave birth to her first child,
so I can't think of anyone else more deserving than her to win this scarf.

Stop Those Winter Time Blues with a GIVE-AWAY

**COMMENTS ARE NOW CLOSED**
**WINNER WILL BE ANNOUNCED SOON**

While the weather is cold, snowy and just plain blah almost every where, I thought it would be fitting to have a give-away.

And what's a perfect give-away item for this last week of chilly February? How about a colorful scarf to brighten up those wintery blue days!

This cozy scarf is made of Paula Prass's Flights of Fancy and some oh-so-dreamy fleece for the under side. A couple of months ago, while playing in my studio, I made another one with some Amy Butler Love and thought, I must make one of these for a give-away. So here it is...waiting to warm one lucky reader's neck.

The scarf is soft and cozy enough to keep you warm for these remaining days of winter, but it's also great for those early spring mornings when the air is still crisp and cool.

To enter just leave a comment on this post. Be sure to include your email address so I have a way to contact you. I will close the contest at Noon on Sunday, February 28th.

Hope you're staying warm!

200th Post Give-Away

Two Hundred. That's quite a large number. It's crazy to think that I've hit another milestone on this blog this year. And what better way to celebrate than to have an Oh-So-Fabulous Give-away! Allow me to introduce what you could win...
You see, I have this cute little tote that I put together and it really needs a home. It needs a shoulder that will wear it happily...a sweet person who will show it off...and a friend who will trust it to hold they're wallet, keys, etc.
But right now, this little tote has a problem. It's feeling a little empty...like it's not fulfilling its purpose in life. This is where you come in...You could win this adorable little tote. But when you receive it, it won't be empty. Nope. Not empty at all. In fact, it will be filled to overflowing. Wanna know why?
Because I also have this delightful collection of fabric scraps. And we're not talking about a few little scraps from here and there. No. This is a collection of nicely sized pieces from almost every project I've worked on in the past year. That's a lot of scraps people!
So not only will you win a tote...but you will win tons of fabric scraps to add to your stash. Now I know you're jumping up and down and wondering how in the world you could win this. Here's the deal...
Leaving a comment on this post you will earn one entry.
Posting about it on your blog will earn you another entry.
Tweeting it, putting it on Facebook, or any other social media thing will earn you another entry.
So that's 3 possible entries for you to win this bag of fabric goodness. I will close the contest at 5:00pm EST on Tuesday, September 1 and the winner will be announced at 7:00pm EST on Tuesday, September 1.
So get to it people! It's time to celebrate the big 2-0-0!

***REMINDER: Be sure to let me know if you post about the give-away on your blog, Facebook, or Twitter that way you can get the appropriate amount of entries.

My Mom Says I'm Out of Control

And I would have to agree with her.
But it's a good out of control...if that's possible? I just keep sewing and sewing and sewing.

My Hubby and I were talking a while ago about how I wanted to make a new pillow case for our over-sized throw pillow on our couch. So, the other day, I made one. No pattern. No real plan. Just had some beautiful Amy Butler Nigella home decor fabric that I wanted to use and that was the perfect color for our living room. I just love it! So here it is...

The front has an off-centered block surrounded with white sashing and since I didn't have a zipper for the closure, I used ribbon to make pretty bows that would seal it closed.

It was a quick project and I enjoyed making it...and the Hubby loves cuddling with while watching TV.

P.S. There's a One Year Blogiversary Give-Away going on over at Park City Girl. Enter for your chance to win this bag!

**STAY TUNED FOR A POST THAT ANNOUNCES THE WINNER**

Can you believe it? I sure can't! This post marks my 100th Post and what better way to celebrate than to have a fun give-away! In this give-away, one lucky winner will have a chance to win, not one, not two, no, not even three prizes. One lucky winner could win FOUR wonderful home-made prizes. I've been working in my studio all week just for this moment and am so excited to unveil the beauty that you could win.

The first item in my give-away bundle of goodness is this adorable recipe bag filled with a collection of four of my favorite recipes (Colossal Cookies, Zucchini Bread, Broccoli Cheddar Quiche, and Spinach Lasagna). The recipe cards were also made by me.

The second prize is this adorable pin cushion that's certain to brighten up any sewing room.

The third prize is this fun Spring-time scarf that will bring Spring-time happiness to any outfit.

And last, but not least, you could win this cute little hand-bag...another bright Spring-time accessory. Perfect for a stroll around town.

Now you may be asking yourself, how in the world can I win this incredible bundle of happy goodness? Well here's how...
For ONE entry - Just leave a comment on this post telling me what you're looking forward to the most about Spring.
For TWO more entries, subscribe or become a follower of my blog (be sure to leave another comment letting me know you've done this).
For TWO more entries, post about this give-away on your blog (again, be sure to tell me in a comment if you've done this).

That's a total of FIVE possible entries to win this Spring-time happiness. So be sure to do all three things for your chance to win! The give-away will close at 10AM (EST) on Thursday, March 12th. I will announce a winner some time between 1PM(EST) and 2PM(EST) on Thursday.

Have a wonderful day and I look forward to seeing your comments!

Give-Away Redo

Back in January, I had my first give-away. It was the adorable tote that I made.

Well...sadly the winner of this tote never claimed her prize and seeing as how it has been more than a month since the give-away, I figured I would do a redraw to find a lucky winner. And the winner is...

You can visit her at her blog at Tina 4 Hope. Tina, please be sure to send me your contact info ASAP. I really want you to be able to enjoy this tote!

A Valentine for your Sweety

While antiquing back in December with my mom, I stumbled upon a delightful vintage Valentine that I just had to have. Long ago it was given to a girl named Marjorie. How enchanting!

Being inspired by the blog Jane's Apron and her talent of merging vintage prints with fun textures to make adorable cards, I decided to do the same with these delightful Valentine's.

And as a special Valentine for all of you lovely bloggers, you can download these home-made Valentine's by clicking here. Just print them on card stock and enjoy sharing these little love notes with the sweeties in your lives!
